The rain has finally stopped. We are not used to cloudy days in Colorado, and some of us get pretty cranky. It’s good to have those positive ions hitting us on the head again. The recent weather has gotten us to think about winter. There were more people in spinning class today – we have to get our legs in shape for skiing!!! Is this a great state or what?

Unseasonable Weather
Today it is 45 degrees out. It is thundering and hailing. Today we are definitely the “City In The Clouds”. These days are so rare and special. I started a fire this morning to warm the house! This is great for the trees and for getting things done that you’ve put off because the weather is usually so nice.

Olympic Games
Opening ceremonies are tonight. I always like watching them. We eat an ethnic dinner that matches the country where the games are being held. Tonight – Chinese. I was watching the “Today Show” yesterday, and they had someone talking about Chinese food - Pig tongue, jellyfish, duck tongue and chicken feet. I think I will stick with beef and broccoli.

Rain
We finally got some rain yesterday and the day before. Kathy’s house received 2″ in 1 hour the other day. There was mud everywhere. We got 1″ last night at my house. Everything is so nice and green now. I will start posting more often now, and hope to get Kathy and Teresa on the bandwagon soon.

Finally back
It’s been a long time since I posted anything. Winter has flown by. My spinning hobby has increased to 4 times a week. I still love it. It is one of the most addictive forms of exercise. I have multiple mixes now, however, I still would welcome any suggestions of spinning music.

Do you know some good spinning drill moves?
I teach a spinning class, 2 times a week. I am looking for some new exercises to make the class more interesting and challenging.

Hello world!
The fires in California bring back memories of the Hayman Fire here in Colorado. Our hearts go out to all of the families who have lost their homes or have been evacuated. Hopefully the winds will die down and the humidity will rise.
